STA 370 FALL 2019

1) Go home and STUDY your camera manual.  At the beginning of class on Tuesday, I will go to each of you individually and ask you to demonstrate to me how you change shutter speed, aperture, ISO and File size settings on your camera. 2) Read TEXTBOOK pgs. 3-69 3) Complete reading response (listed on blog) 4) You MUST bring in your external hard drives for Tuesday's class. I will take points off for anyone who does not have one. 5) Shoot no less than 200 photos this weekend, making sure to vary your lighting situations, compositions and subject matter. (I don't want 200 photos of your dorm room or dog.)

No emailed submissions will be accepted.** Your reading homework for this weekend delves into questions of what we can learn from looking at a photograph. Print and read three short articles that are all responses to one particular photograph from 911. Write a short response to the readings, due in hard copy at the beginning of class. Bring the print outs of the articles, with underlined sections that you find, interesting, confusing, maddening, whatever. We will discuss these points as a group.
