Image
Watch these two documentaries on portrait photographers Nan Goldin and Steve McCurry. Total watching time is about 30 minutes, so allow yourself enough time to watch these both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2B6nMlajUqU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGFCQ_rz1SQ McCurry and Goldin each have very different approaches to portrait photography, coming from both insider and outsider perspectives when documenting a particular group or culture. What can you tell about the different levels of intimacy that are shown when working with strangers/close friends?
